could be a sort of feedback. if you ran the power wire and the remote wire on the same side of the car it could be causing interferance.
Hmm strange. Might be the ground..you have to make sure it touches bare metal (no paint). You also might have to check the insulation around the wires.
I’m having the exact same problem. I had 2 12s but I just added 2 more and another amp and now the subs are like rumbling when I change songs. It even rumbles when I first turn the car on before the music starts playing. I just went to the car audio place and dude said it’s really weird and he has no idea what it is. Let me know if you figure it out and I’ll do the same.
I think I figured it out. Just adjust the input sensitivity control on your amp to a higher number. I adjusted them on both amps from 0.5 up to like 2.0 and that seemed to take care of the problem. Good luck man.
this is a result of the cd player searching from one song to another. typical of cheap units, it is the same as the thump you get when first turning the vehicle on, also your amp might be "of a lower quality level" if you get my drift, most quality amps have a "soft start" feature which basically mutes the amp for the first few seconds that it recieves power to prevent this from happening, this may also be damaging your spreakers!
